The Story

Liam and Conor’s relationship began while deployed together in the Middle East on board the USS Anchorage (LPD 23). Working closely together as young officers deployed on a warship created a strong sense of camaraderie between them. This camaraderie quickly developed into a strong friendship as Liam and Conor realized they shared many of the same values and aspirations for their lives. They went on to be roommates in San Diego for the remainder of their time in the Navy and grew to become each other’s closest friend and confidante. As they embarked on the next stages of their career, both expressed their intent to find meaningful leadership and operational roles in the private sector as they had found in the Navy, and would often discuss their dream of running a business together. As the next stage of their lives brought them to opposite coasts, their friendship remained strong, talking several times a week and always discussing the dream of running a business together. With the support of their families, and the guidance of their mentors, Liam and Conor decided to make their dream a reality and launch Anchorage Partners.
